“If I were asked under what sky the human mind has most fully developed some of its choicest gifts, has most deeply pondered on the greatest problems of life, and has found solutions, I should point to India.”

- Max Mueller, 1883.
India attracts people who are searching for answers to life’s questions.  Usually, the answers come in spiritual form. But is there a legitimate reason that people still flock to India on spiritual quests?  Does India's reputation precede itself, or is there something special about it?  Are the people who go there truly searching for answers, or running away from their problems?

A film maker with a burning question goes to meet people on spiritual paths, to find out if their spirituality had been ignited by a traumatic event.  Did they have a spiritual calling, or were they running away from the real world?

She meets three people - Tony: a 57 year old hippie who has been in India for 32 years; Sunny, a former super model who has devoted her life to her guru, and Bhagvati, a Londoner who became involved in dark, Tantric practices.

Along the way she speaks with people from other spiritual denominations, and meets some of India's spiritual superstars.
